Artificial Premieres at London Film Festival With Garfield, Borisov
Luca Guadagnino introduced the film at the Royal Festival Hall, where Andrew Garfield and Yura Borisov walked the red carpet for its London Film Festival premiere.
Artificial held its London Film Festival premiere, with Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Ike Barinholtz and Mark Rylance attending, according to Variety. Luca Guadagnino introduced the film on stage at the Royal Festival Hall alongside his cast.
Garfield said he remains proud of the film and is flattered by the praise for it. Borisov said he is curious how audiences will feel about the film. Garfield added that he did not recall seeing Sam Altman while filming near his house.
The London screening follows the film's world premiere at the New York Film Festival, where it earned rave reviews. In 2024, Borisov was nominated for a supporting actor Oscar for his role in Anora.
In June 2025, Amazon MGM Studios dropped the film shortly after Amazon invested $50 billion in OpenAI. Neon later picked up Artificial for distribution and is mounting its awards campaign.
In an interview with Vanity Fair last week, Altman addressed the film for the first time. Garfield and Guadagnino previously worked together on 2024's After the Hunt. Artificial is set for release on December 1, 2026.
