Ash Santos Says She Wants to Join Taylor Sheridan's Lioness

The Marshals star also named Dutton Ranch as a series she would like to appear in, and described a week-long bootcamp for Marshals Season 2.

Ash Santos said in an interview that she would like to be cast in Taylor Sheridan's series Lioness. Santos, who stars in Marshals, also expressed interest in appearing in Dutton Ranch.

Santos described preparing for Marshals Season 2 with a week-long military bootcamp guided by a former Green Beret. The training preceded the season's launch, which the background notes was a strong performer on both CBS and Paramount+.

Lioness, one of Sheridan's Paramount+ series, wrapped its third season with a tease of a follow-up that is still pending a greenlight from the streamer. It took 8 to 10 months for Seasons 2 and 3 to be approved, reportedly because of Sheridan's schedule.

Sheridan remains active on several fronts: Variety confirmed he wrote the scripts for Sicario 3 and Paramount's upcoming Call of Duty film adaptation.

Where Marshals Fits

Marshals was developed with a traditional writers' room under showrunner Spencer Hudnut, per the background, and remains structurally connected to the Yellowstone universe. Santos previously appeared as a recurring guest in Mayor of Kingstown.
