Ava Allan is returning to The Big Bang Theory universe, reprising her Young Sheldon role as Jana Boggs in season 3 of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, according to Screen Rant. Co-star Emily Osment announced the casting on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself and Allan filming a restaurant scene.
The appearance will be Jana's first on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Allan played the character in almost a dozen episodes of Young Sheldon across seasons 3 through 5.
During that arc, Jana believed she was pregnant, but it turned out she was not, and her relationship with Georgie ended. Georgie met Mandy eight episodes after Jana's storyline concluded.
Season 3 storylines
Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3 premiered earlier this month, continuing the Mary and Fred storyline that closed season 2, when Fred Fagenbacher asked Mary out. The most recent episode showed Mandy and Georgie's daughter CeeCee starting preschool.
