Avengers: Doomsday art shows Doom with three hooded witches

New promotional artwork by illustrator Jorge Molina accompanies a limited-edition Magic: The Gathering card tie-in; Marvel has not identified the figures.

New promotional artwork for Avengers: Doomsday shows Doctor Doom flanked by three hooded women described as Latverian witches, according to screenrant.com. The image was created by illustrator Jorge Molina.

The artwork is part of a limited-edition Magic: The Gathering card promotion tied to screenings of the film. Marvel has not confirmed who the hooded figures are, and the studio has not stated that they are the Black Swans.

In Jonathan Hickman's Avengers-era comics, the Black Swans were a secretive interdimensional order devoted to Rabum Alal, the Great Destroyer. The best-known member of the order was Yabbat Ummon Turru.

Comics history behind the speculation

In New Avengers #33, Rabum Alal was revealed to be Victor von Doom himself. Doom's campaign involved killing versions of the Molecule Man across realities, which helped trigger incursions.

Doom ultimately took the Beyonders' power and assembled Battleworld, reigning as God Emperor Doom in 2015's Secret Wars. None of that lore has been confirmed as part of the film's story.
