BBC Chief Matt Brittin Tells Staff He Met Netflix, Amazon, Apple, YouTube Leaders

Brittin said he met Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters in London and wants BBC content more prominent on Netflix and YouTube, per Deadline.

BBC director general Matt Brittin told staff on Wednesday that he had met with the global leadership of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and YouTube, according to Deadline.

Brittin met with Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters when Peters visited London in recent weeks, Brittin said.

He said he wants to ensure the BBC's content is more prominent on Netflix and YouTube.

Separately, Reuters reported that the BBC and Channel 4 are scoping out a joint-venture deal.

In a deal that predated Brittin's arrival, the BBC agreed to produce original YouTube shows for the first time under a pact with the Google-owned video service.
