Gilroy, Pascal Bring 'Behemoth!' to BFI London Film Festival
Tony Gilroy and Pedro Pascal attended the London premiere of 'Behemoth!,' with Pascal starring as a cellist who returns to Los Angeles.
Tony Gilroy and Pedro Pascal attended the BFI London Film Festival for the premiere of Behemoth!, the festival's 70th edition, which runs Oct. 7-18.
The film opened with a screening preceded by a red carpet outside London's Royal Festival Hall. Behemoth! had earlier premiered at the New York Film Festival in October 2026.
Pascal stars in Behemoth! as Alex Serian, a cellist returning to Los Angeles. He was cast after Oscar Isaac, originally set to lead the film, had to pull out. Eva Victor plays a violinist in the film.
Gilroy said the success of Andor helped him get Behemoth! made as an adult drama at Searchlight. Gilroy created Andor, a Star Wars spinoff series, from 2022 to 2025, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
Pascal learned to play the cello for the role, practicing everywhere on Gilroy's recommendation.
