According to deadline.com, the leadership change coincides with the departure of Luis Silberwasser, who is stepping down from his role as the head of sports at TNT. Berson will now manage the integrated sports portfolio for the new entity.

Berson has served as the president of CBS Sports since 2024, having originally joined the network in 2010. Silberwasser had led TNT sports since the formation of Warner Bros. Discovery in 2022.

The two networks have a long history of collaboration, having shared the broadcasting rights for the NCAA March Madness tournament since 2010.
