Mayur More and Ashlesha Thakur to Lead AI-Hybrid Film Beta Builder

Mayur More and Ashlesha Thakur will star in Beta Builder, the first feature to come out of the partnership between Abundantia Entertainment and InVideo, according to deadline.com. Principal photography begins in Mumbai on October 29, 2026.
The film will be directed by Hridaye A. Nagpal, InVideo's global creative lead, and is produced by Abundantia AiOn, Abundantia's AI production division. It is described as a hybrid production that combines live-action filming with AI-driven production.
Set in Mumbai and in a virtual world, Beta Builder follows Jai, a self-taught architect from Dharavi who gets a chance to realise his dreams in virtual reality.
Abundantia formed Abundantia AiOn last year as an AI production division it described as human-first and AI-empowered, and last year partnered with InVideo on a slate of five AI-powered films over three years backed by a ₹100 crore ($10.5M) commitment. In a Deadline interview last month, Abundantia founder and CEO Vikram Malhotra said Abundantia AiOn was becoming a fully native standalone AI studio.
InVideo, led by CEO Sanket Shah, has more than 50 million users and backers including Peak XV, Tiger Global, Greenoaks, RTP Global, Base Partners and Hummingbird. Its original productions include Penumbra, Juicebox and Hachiko on Sony LIV.
