Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and James Norton all appeared in the same six-part literary drama, now moving to a new streaming platform.
The latest shortlist for the next James Bond has a shared credit running through it. Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, Jacob Elordi and Jack Barton were all named as contenders, and two of them — Lowden and Turner — previously appeared together in the same prestige literary adaptation.
That production was a six-part drama whose leads also included James Norton, once strongly rumored as a Bond favorite. The cast featured Lily James, Paul Dano, Jessie Buckley, Tom Burke and Aneurin Barnard, with veterans Brian Cox, Jim Broadbent, Greta Scacchi and Gillian Anderson rounding out the ensemble.
Tom Harper, known for his work on Peaky Blinders, directed the series. It is turning ten years old this year and is moving to a new streaming platform.
Amazon MGM has not formally announced when a final Bond casting decision will be made. Meanwhile, Denis Villeneuve is directing Dune: Part Three, scheduled for release in December.
