Wahlberg's By Any Means Hits PVOD After Soft Theatrical Run
The Elegance Bratton crime drama, released by Paramount in early September 2026, is now available on premium video on demand.
Mark Wahlberg's crime drama By Any Means has debuted on the premium video on demand market, according to Collider. The film was released in theaters by Paramount in early September 2026.
Directed by Elegance Bratton, By Any Means is inspired by a true story and stars Wahlberg as Gregory Scarpa, a Mafia gangster who became an FBI informant in the 1960s. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays the FBI agent who worked with Scarpa. The supporting cast includes Nicole Beharie, Giancarlo Esposito, David Strathairn and Josh Lucas.
The film's theatrical run fell short of the $20 million mark at the box office. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a 44% critics' score and an 88% audience score.
The PVOD launch follows a longer stretch of uneven results for Wahlberg as a leading man. In 2018, Instant Family grossed $67 million domestically, his last theatrical hit in that role. Since Daddy's Home 2 nearly a decade ago, only Uncharted and Transformers: The Last Knight have topped $100 million domestically among his films.
