Carrie Tops Nielsen Streaming Chart With 1.26 Billion Minutes

Prime Video renewed the Stephen King adaptation for Season 2 the same week Nielsen ranked it the most-watched streaming title overall.

Prime Video's Carrie debuted as the top overall streaming title on Nielsen's charts, drawing 1.26 billion minutes viewed in its first five days after its October 7 premiere, according to Nielsen figures reported by comingsoon.net. Amazon announced a Season 2 renewal for the series on Thursday.

Adults aged 18-49 accounted for 58% of the show's viewership during the October 5-11 tracking period. The series, Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's novel, stars Summer H. Howell as the titular telepath and Samantha Sloyan as her mother.

How the rest of the chart finished

Netflix's Below debuted to 1.19 billion minutes on October 8, while East of Eden took third place overall with 1.16 billion minutes. On the acquired side, The Big Bang Theory held the top spot on HBO Max for the 13th consecutive week with 812 million minutes.

In Nielsen's Top 10 this year, Carrie ranks as the second-best Prime Video first-season debut, behind Neagley. Earlier in 2026, Neagley gathered 1.8 billion minutes over the same five-day window, and the Nicole Kidman-led Scarpetta earned 952 million minutes in its debut.

Ride or Die collected 869 million minutes and Spider-Noir 852 million minutes in their debuts. Neagley and Scarpetta secured renewals this year, while Ride or Die and Spider-Noir were canceled earlier in 2026. Ted Lasso Season 4 ended its run with 5.5 billion total viewing minutes across 10 weeks.
