Carrie's Rotten Tomatoes critic score has slipped to 84% based on 43 reviews, ahead of its October 7 premiere on Prime Video. The drop comes as the series, from Mike Flanagan, approaches its streaming debut.
The first two episodes premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, giving festival audiences an early look at the new take on Stephen King's classic novel.
Previously, the adaptation sat at 88% on the review aggregate, the second-highest rating of any iteration of the novel behind Brian De Palma's 1976 film, according to screenrant.com.
