Chandler Riggs has released Biohazard: A Live-Action Resident Evil 7 Short Fan Film, a fan adaptation of Capcom's game that he wrote, directed and stars in as Ethan Winters. ScreenRant reported the release.
The short is set in the Baker family's Louisiana plantation and features Jason Douglas, Mary Rachel Quinn, Eugenie Bondurant, Jonathan O'neil, Mia Cole and Sam Coyles in the cast.
The project was shot in January in the Tampa Bay area, after the local film commissioner offered incentives. According to the interview, Riggs spoke with the commissioner before production.
It marks Riggs's solo directorial debut, following his co-directing work on The Unicorn That Never Lies. In the background, the idea for the adaptation began during a holiday Discord conversation among friends.
