Chris Harrison Says Warner Bros. Legal Action Over The Vow Feels Personal

The host of Fox Nation's dating show invited readers to judge the dispute for themselves after Warner Bros. sent a cease-and-desist letter this month.

Chris Harrison, host of the dating show The Vow, said Warner Bros.' legal action against the series feels personal and invited readers to judge for themselves, according to Deadline.

Warner Bros. sent a cease-and-desist letter to The Vow earlier this month over its teaser. The studio accused the teaser of infringing its intellectual property by using red rose petals falling in the background, the words The Bachelor, an image of a man in a tux holding a rose and a mansion evoking the Bachelor Mansion.

Fox News Media executive vice president and general counsel Katherine Moran Meeks responded that Warner Bros. does not hold intellectual property rights in a falling roses motif or in the colloquial use of the words The Bachelor.

Background

Harrison parted ways with the Bachelor franchise in June 2021 after supporting a contestant amid controversy over a racist photo she had posted.

The Vow premieres Nov. 11 on Fox Nation.
