Netflix Debuts First-Look Images From Fincher's Cliff Booth Film
The David Fincher-directed follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits Imax for two weeks from Nov. 25 and streams on Netflix on Dec. 23.
Netflix has released new first-look images for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, the David Fincher-directed film that will open in Imax theaters globally for two weeks starting Nov. 25 before arriving on Netflix on Dec. 23, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
The stills center on Brad Pitt's return as Cliff Booth. One shows him in goggles driving a derby car on a dirt track; another places him at a bar in conversation with Elizabeth Debicki; a third puts him on a tennis court alongside Debicki, Scott Caan and Carla Gugino.
The cast also includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian. Quentin Tarantino wrote the script, and Pitt produces with Ceán Chaffin.
The film is set in 1977, eight years after the events of the first movie. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, written and directed by Tarantino, was released by Sony Pictures in 2019 and co-starred Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton; it grossed $377 million worldwide and won two Oscars from 10 nominations, including Pitt's first acting Oscar.
A trailer for the new film was released online last month. Tarantino said last year on the Church of Tarantino podcast that he chose not to direct the follow-up because he did not want his intended final film to be a sequel.
