The Coronado Island Film Festival has announced the lineup for its 2026 edition, with Amazon MGM's 'I Play Rocky' set to open the event and Neon's 'Paper Tiger' booked as the closing film, according to Variety.
The festival's 11th season will run from Nov. 4 through 8 and will screen 140 narrative features, documentaries and short films.
Centerpiece selections include Netflix's 'Ink' and A24's 'The Debut.' Additional spotlight screenings include 'Behemoth!', 'Clarissa', 'Killing Castro', 'Minotaur', 'Ray Gunn', 'Jimmy', 'Josephine' and 'Tangles.'

Both of the festival's bookend films arrive with prior festival runs. 'I Play Rocky,' directed by Peter Farrelly and starring Anthony Ippolito as Sylvester Stallone, premiered last month at the Toronto International Film Festival; it tells the true story of Stallone's journey to get 'Rocky' made. 'Paper Tiger,' directed by James Gray and led by Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver and Miles Teller, premiered in May at the Cannes Film Festival and follows two brothers, Irwin and Gary Pearl, in 1986.
