Toy Robot Video Sets 4K UHD Release for Cradle 2 the Grave
The disc uses a new 4K scan from the original camera negative and adds interviews with Kelly Hu and composer John Frizzell.
Toy Robot Video has announced a 4K UHD Blu-ray release of Cradle 2 the Grave, the action film starring Jet Li and DMX. The announcement was reported by joblo.com.
The release uses a new 4K scan taken from the original camera negative. Among the bonus features are the film's theatrical trailer and new interviews with actress Kelly Hu, composer John Frizzell, and DMX estate administrators Sasha Simmons and Desiree Lindstrom.
The disc also carries the DMX music video for "X Gon' Give It to Ya," along with several featurettes: profiles of the film's martial artists, a choreography of the camera piece, a descender rig time lapse montage and a rear screen projection feature.
The announcement comes days after Toy Robot Video revealed a 4K UHD Blu-ray for Jet Li's Romeo Must Die. Cradle 2 the Grave is described as the third entry in producer Joel Silver's unofficial thematic trilogy of early-2000s hip-hop martial arts thrillers, following Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds.
There is still no official confirmation on whether Toy Robot Video will release a 4K version of Exit Wounds.
