Crystal Lake Showrunner Has Season 2 Framework Ready
Brad Caleb Kane says he wants more Sackhead Jason and more franchise characters in a second season, though Peacock has not ordered one.
Crystal Lake showrunner Brad Caleb Kane said he already has a framework in mind for a potential second season of the Peacock series, according to an interview with Bloody Disgusting. No second season has been greenlit.
Kane said he wants much more of Sackhead Jason — the version of Jason Voorhees seen in Friday the 13th Part 2 — and much more carnage if the show returns. He also said he wants to explore franchise characters who did not appear in the first season.
Crystal Lake Season 1 is available to stream on Peacock. The series takes place almost a decade before the events of Friday the 13th.
Where Season 1 Left Off
In the Season 1 finale, an adult bag-headed Jason crushes the skull of his father, Elias Wittering, and spares his mother, Pamela. Crazy Ralph shoots at Jason, who flees into the forest.
The season closes with a flashback campfire scene in which young Steve Christy tells campers the legend of Jason, echoing Friday the 13th Part 2.
