Danny Boyle has confirmed that a third '28 Years Later' film is in the works, with a script by Alex Garland. Speaking at the Zurich Film Festival, where he presented 'Ink', Boyle said the film will feature a lot of Cillian Murphy.
Boyle also weighed in on the James Bond franchise, saying Jack O'Connell should be cast as the next 007. He praised O'Connell's performance in 'Back to Black'.

In October 2025, Boyle said he left 'No Time to Die' allegedly due to creative differences with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, as well as star Daniel Craig.
