Dave Bautista Cast as Kratos in Prime Video's God of War Series

Dave Bautista has been cast as Kratos in Prime Video's live-action God of War series, according to Screen Rant. The actor, who stands 6 feet 4 inches tall, steps into the role after Ryan Hurst had to leave due to a major injury.

Hurst, who voiced Thor in the game God of War Ragnarök, was previously cast as Kratos but departed following the injury. The series has now found its new lead in Bautista.

In a separate casting move, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson will play Thor. At 6 feet 5 inches, Ólafsson is shorter than the game version of Thor, who stands 7 feet 4 inches. Kratos in the games is 6 feet 4 inches, matching Bautista's height.

Olivier Richters, who is 7 feet 2 inches tall and has appeared in Reacher season 3 and Street Fighter, is also part of the production's casting landscape, though his specific role has not been confirmed.
