SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Dr. X: The Era of the White Mafia' was named the most-preferred broadcast program in Korea in Gallup Korea's October 2026 survey, taking 9.8% of responses, according to joynews24.com.
Gallup Korea polled 1,001 adults aged 18 and over nationwide from October 20 to 22, 2026. tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama '100 Days' Lie' ranked second with 4.0%, followed by KBS2's weekend drama 'Love Comes' at 3.8% and KBS1's daily drama 'Mom Is Crazy' at 3.1%.
The poll is the monthly broadcast and TV preference survey Gallup Korea has run since January 2013.
'Dr. X' is a remake of a Japanese original and depicts a genius surgeon sent to a university hospital. In July 2026, another SBS drama, 'Kim Manager', recorded 18.9% in the same survey — the highest preference an SBS drama had recorded at that point; the previous high was 'My Love from the Star' with 11.5% in February 2014.
Episode 6 of 'Dr. X' drew controversy for content reminiscent of the May 18 Democratic Movement.
