Director Lee Hanju's school-bullying drama is being pitched at Busan's Asian Project Market, with production targeted for late 2027.
Korean drama "The Family Table" is being presented at the Asian Project Market, part of the Busan International Film Festival's Asian Contents & Film Market, according to Variety. The team is using the market to seek co-production partners, sales agents, festival positioning, distribution and investors.
The film follows Gyu-seong, a 42-year-old father who takes legal action after his 12-year-old daughter Ji-woo is bullied at school.
Director Lee Hanju said a first draft of the screenplay is complete and is being developed further. The team aims to start production in the back half of 2027.
A second project in the works
Lee is also preparing "Shoot-Off," a sports mystery about two female athletes in competitive shooting. Filming on that project is set to begin in December 2026, with completion due by mid-2027.
