JTBC drama Final Table, starring Ahn Hyo-seop as a chef, took first place on Disney+'s "Korean Top 10 Series" chart in its first week of broadcast in Korea, according to cinemacafe.net. The series airs on JTBC and is also streamed on Disney+.
Ahn plays Kang Han, a genius chef at the center of the story. In episode 2, Kang Han declares that he will enter the cooking survival show "The Table: K Chef 2026," hosted by the conglomerate Pyeongjeong Group.
Director Kim Do-hoon said a double was prepared for the cooking scenes but turned out to be unnecessary because Ahn performed better than the double.
Knife practice left its mark
Ahn cut his finger deeply while practicing knife skills and wok tossing for the role, the director said.
