Ferrari's Debut 'Föa – Once Upon a Future,' Produced by Sorrentino, Lands at Busan
Margherita Ferrari presents her directorial debut at the Busan International Film Festival, with Paolo Sorrentino producing through Numero 10.
Margherita Ferrari is presenting "Föa – Once Upon a Future," her directorial debut, at the Busan International Film Festival. The film marks the first producing credit for Paolo Sorrentino, according to Variety.
"Föa – Once Upon a Future" stars Gaia Ravina, Clara Tramontano, Iker Urgoiti and Gabriele Falsetta. The film was co-produced by Sorrentino's company Numero 10 with The Apartment and PiperFilm, with PiperPlay handling international sales.
The project's roots reach back further: it began as Ferrari's graduation short at Rome's Centro Sperimentale film school before she pitched it as a feature to Sorrentino, and is set in Genoa during the July 2001 G8 summit clashes between protesters and police.
