Dead Meat's Fresh Meat Hits Pijama for $9.99 Digital Rental

The horror anthology, which earned nearly $300,000 in a one-night theatrical run, is now available to rent on the independent streaming platform.

Dead Meat announced on October 23, 2026, that its horror anthology film Fresh Meat is now available for digital rental exclusively on the streaming platform Pijama for $9.99, according to Bloody Disgusting.

Pijama is described as a new streaming site aimed at independent filmmakers, offering a higher revenue split to creatives than mainstream alternatives.

Fresh Meat brings together short films from the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Austria and the Netherlands. Dead Meat co-founder James A. Janisse directed the film's wraparound segment, and the project was produced by Dead Meat and Hades Films.

The anthology had a one-night theatrical release on October 12, earning almost $300,000 across 564 theaters.

Earlier in 2026, Dead Meat put out a call for shorts from up-and-coming horror filmmakers. The company received more than 500 submissions, narrowed them to 30 and ultimately selected 13 for the film.
