Cheeks, now Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer of Skydance TV, sent a memo to staff as the combined company began operations.

George Cheeks sent a memo to staff outlining the strategy for Skydance TV on the first day of operations for the combined Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, according to Deadline. Cheeks, now Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer of Skydance TV, called the day the start of a new chapter.

The new Skydance TV division includes CBS, Warner Bros. Television Studios, CBS Studios, Paramount Television Studios, CBS News, CBS Sports, TNT Sports and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports. The TV studios will remain separate for now.

David Berson will run the sports operations. TNT Sports chief Luis Silberwasser is exiting. CBS News is run by editor-in-chief Bari Weiss.

In October 2025, a few days before the memo, Deadline reported that Channing Dungey will also oversee Paramount cable networks such as MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and BET, as well as VH1, Paramount Network, TV Land, CMT, Pop TV and Logo TV. CBS Studios is run by David Stapf, and Skydance TV is run by Matt Thunell.
