The Godfather Trilogy Leaves Prime Video at End of October 2026
All three Francis Ford Coppola films, from the 1972 original to The Godfather Part III, exit the streaming service at the end of October 2026.
The Godfather trilogy is set to leave Prime Video at the end of October 2026, according to Screen Rant. The departure covers all three films: The Godfather (1972), The Godfather Part II (1974) and The Godfather Part III (1990).
The trilogy was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and adapted from Mario Puzo's 1969 novel. The first film drew ten nominations and three wins at the 1973 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, while The Godfather Part II won six of its 11 nominations at the 1975 ceremony, again taking Best Picture.
The Godfather Part III, released in 1990, was a critical and popular disappointment. In 2020, Coppola released a revised version of that third film.
The series remains a fixture of all-time rankings. On the American Film Institute's 100 YEARS...100 MOVIES list, The Godfather ranks second and The Godfather Part II ranks 32nd. On Rotten Tomatoes' Best Movies of All Time list, the original holds the number one spot with a 97% score, with the sequel at number 28 on 96%.
Viewers who want to watch the trilogy on Prime Video have until the end of October 2026.
