The Los Angeles premiere screening of Godzilla -0.0 was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on October 28 local time, according to cinematoday.jp. Lead actor Ryūnosuke Kamiki, lead actress Minami Hamabe and director Takashi Yamazaki attended along with about seven staff members. The roughly 900-strong audience gave a standing ovation after the screening.
Before the premiere, Kamiki and Hamabe visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame star for GODZILLA. A section of Hollywood Boulevard was closed and a red carpet laid out for the event.
An F1 car in special livery from TGR Haas F1 Team and a 2-meter Godzilla statue were displayed at the venue. Kamiki and Hamabe greeted the audience in English before the screening.
In 2004, a GODZILLA star was installed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The premiere of Godzilla Minus One previously drew an enthusiastic reaction from Los Angeles audiences, which Yamazaki cited as inspiration for making Godzilla -0.0. A collaboration between the film and TGR Haas F1 Team was announced recently.
