Katie Goodson-Thomas is leaving Searchlight Pictures to join LuckyChap International as president of film, a newly created role at the company, according to Variety.
In the job she will work with co-managing directors Mona Qureshi and Tanya Qureshi on the film slate, and collaborate with LuckyChap partners Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Milan Popelka. She officially starts in the new year.
Goodson-Thomas spent more than a decade at Searchlight Pictures, most recently as executive vice president, co-head of production and development. Her credits there include The Favourite, Poor Things, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Banshees of Inisherin, All of Us Strangers and The Roses.
She also oversaw upcoming Searchlight projects Wild Horse Nine and Sweetsick, which stars Cate Blanchett.
A London venture
LuckyChap International was unveiled in late 2025 as a London-based joint venture between LuckyChap and Mediawan. Mona Qureshi and Tanya Qureshi joined the company earlier in 2026 as co-managing directors.
