Mark Greaney's 16th Gray Man Novel Dark Union Set for 2027

Berkley will publish Dark Union on February 16, 2027, with Court Gentry searching for the truth about his brother's survival.

Mark Greaney's 16th Gray Man novel will be titled Dark Union and is set for publication by Berkley on February 16, 2027, according to Collider.

In the new book, Court Gentry's supposedly deceased brother appears at their late father's funeral and then vanishes. Gentry had believed his brother, a police officer, died nine years earlier in a shooting in the line of duty.

The story follows Gentry's search for the truth about how his brother survived.

Greaney's 2009 novel The Gray Man launched the series, and a new Court Gentry novel has been released every year since 2016. The 15th installment, The Hard Line, arrived in February 2026 and debuted at #3 on the New York Times bestseller list.

In 2022, Anthony and Joe Russo directed Netflix's adaptation of The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. A sequel and a spin-off film were planned, but The Gray Man 2 has faced constant delays.
