Heated Rivalry seasons 2 and 3 to film back-to-back, holiday special set for 2027

A feature-length Heated Rivalry holiday special will shoot in December after Season 2 wraps, with a December 2027 release planned, Deadline reports.

Heated Rivalry will shoot its second and third seasons back-to-back, and a standalone feature-length holiday special is set to film in December, directly after Season 2 wraps, according to Deadline. The holiday feature is planned for a December 2027 release.

Sources told Deadline that Connor Storrie's Ilya and Hudson Williams' Shane do not appear in the holiday feature. The film may instead center on Season 1 couple Scott, played by François Arnaud, and Kip, played by Robbie G.K., alongside additional characters.

Season 2 of Heated Rivalry is confirmed to premiere in spring 2027, with an April launch likely. The season takes inspiration from the sixth book in Rachel Reid's Game Changers series, The Long Game, and introduces Harris Drover and Troy Barrett, played by Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie.

Emily Hampshire, Brendan Morgan, David Tomlinson and Lauren Chan are among the new cast additions for Season 2.

Older context

Season 1 aired last year and became a hit with fans. In August, a leaked Cameo video by recurring guest star Dylan Walsh went viral after he said, "I think we're doing 12 [episodes] this time." Reid also wrote a short story, Merry Christmas, Scott and Kip!, about the duo's first Christmas together.
