ReedPop Apologizes After Heckler Disrupts Helluva Boss NYCC Panel

Brandon Rogers confronted a heckling fan during Thursday's Helluva Boss panel, and New York Comic Con organizer ReedPop admitted staff acted too slowly.

A panel for the animated series Helluva Boss at New York Comic Con was disrupted Thursday when a fan repeatedly heckled the speakers at the Javits Center in New York City, according to comingsoon.net.

Brandon Rogers, a star and co-writer of the series, confronted the heckler directly and told the person to stop, then left his seat to approach the audience. He also called for event staff to intervene.

ReedPop, the production company behind New York Comic Con, later issued a statement acknowledging that event personnel did not act swiftly enough. The company apologized to the panelists, the moderator and the fans in attendance.

The panel featured Rogers alongside Vivian Nichole Nixon, Erica Lindbeck, Bryce Pinkham and Harvey Guillén, as well as series creator Vivienne Medrano, moderator Perri Nemiroff and Richard Steven Horvitz.
