James Gunn said Batman's suit for the DC Universe has not been designed yet, answering fan questions on Threads. The DC Studios boss also said he does not know whether Wally West is currently active in the DCU, replying "Who knows?" when asked, according to polygon.com.
Gunn addressed the canon status of two earlier DC films. He clarified that Blue Beetle returning in Man of Tomorrow does not make the 2023 Blue Beetle film canon, and stated that 2022's Black Adam is not canon to the DCU.
He also said he will not direct the planned live-action Teen Titans movie.
Earlier DC films and the new slate
Man of Tomorrow is the sequel to 2025's Superman. Xolo Maridueña reprises his role as Jaime Reyes, also known as Blue Beetle, from the 2023 film, which was the second-to-last release in the DC Extended Universe. Black Adam was released in 2022.
Gunn currently has no projects lined up to direct after Man of Tomorrow.
