James Gunn Denies Jensen Ackles Casting Rumors at DC Studios
Gunn said he last met Ackles about 20 years ago and called him a nice guy, following speculation over an Instagram follow.
James Gunn has publicly denied that Jensen Ackles has been cast in any role at DC Studios, according to Bleeding Cool. The DC Studios co-chief addressed the speculation directly, stating that the actor is not attached to any project at the studio.
In his response, Gunn said he met Ackles once about 20 years ago and described him as a nice guy. The denial followed a rise in fan speculation after users noticed that Ackles had followed Gunn on Instagram.
The rumors had circulated widely online, with fans connecting the follow to the studio's slate of upcoming DCU films and series, including Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Gunn's statement closed off that line of speculation.
