Jane Levy Floats Mia's Return to Evil Dead at Screening

The actor asked a post-screening audience whether Mia Allen should come back, and joked about phoning Sam Raimi to find out.

Jane Levy raised the possibility of her character Mia Allen returning to the Evil Dead franchise during a Q&A that followed a screening of the 2013 Evil Dead reboot, according to comingsoon.net. The actor asked the audience whether Mia should come back, drawing applause.

Levy also joked that she could call Sam Raimi, the director and franchise founder, on Skype to ask whether he wants Mia to return.

Mia was introduced in the 2013 reboot, which starred Levy as a young woman battling demonic possession at a remote cabin. She survives the film, but the franchise never built a sequel around her.

Raimi's original trilogy consists of The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead II (1987) and Army of Darkness (1993). Bruce Campbell, who played Ash in those films, told the Detroit Free Press he is finished with the role after his cancer diagnosis, saying the series has moved away from Raimi as well as from Ash and himself.

Rumors have persisted that Mia could appear in Evil Dead Wrath, described as a 2028 prequel. Producer Robert Tapert has called that film, set in 1972, another great departure for the franchise. Nothing about Mia's return has been confirmed.
