Japan House in London has announced a film series titled The maverick visionary: the cinematic world of Suzuki Seijun, running from October 2026 to February 2027. Tickets are priced at a flat £5, and sales are currently open only for Tokyo Drifter.
Tokyo Drifter screens on Sunday 11 and Thursday 22 October 2026. Fighting Elegy follows on Sunday 22 and Wednesday 25 November 2026, and Branded to Kill screens on Sunday 13 and Wednesday 16 December 2026.
The series continues into 2027 with two entries from Suzuki's Taisho Trilogy: Zigeunerweisen on Sunday 10 and Wednesday 27 January 2027, and Kagero-za on Sunday 14 and Wednesday 24 February 2027.
