Karyn Kusama Confirms Jennifer's Body Sequel in Development at 20th Century
Kusama says Diablo Cody is writing the script and calls its story fun and crazy like the 2009 original.
Karyn Kusama, who directed Jennifer's Body, has confirmed that a sequel to the 2009 film is in active development, with Diablo Cody writing the script for 20th Century Studios, according to comingsoon.net.
Kusama said she is familiar with some of the bones of the screenplay and described it as fun and crazy in the same spirit as the first film.
Kusama and Megan Fox, who starred in the original, are also set to reunite at a sold-out Academy Museum event.
Jennifer's Body was released in 2009 and flopped commercially, hampered by a mis-marketed campaign and harsh media coverage of Fox. Prime Video's Overcompensating later featured a recurring reference to the film, complete with a cameo from Fox.
