Kenny Ortega's Lego Friends Musical Premieres October 16

Lego Friends: Heartlake the Musical, executive produced by Kenny Ortega, will premiere October 16 on Lego's YouTube channel, Peacock and Netflix. The 50-minute film follows a young girl named Daisy, played by Jada Langley, who is magically transported into Heartlake City.

Ortega shaped the story and choreography and chose the director, location and cast. Paul Becker directed the film, and the cast is all-British, according to Variety.

Ortega's earlier credits include Hocus Pocus, High School Musical, music videos, concerts and two Olympics opening ceremonies, the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He says Lego has been part of his life for over 30 years.
