Documentary producer Lightbox is launching a horror-focused banner called Frightbox, with two new documentary projects attached. The announcement was reported by deadline.com.
The first project, Clown Panic, is a feature documentary for Hulu that will play as part of Huluween. The second, The Pet Cemetery Murders: A Ghost Story, is a three-part series for HBO.
Both projects carry a visual signature: the Lightbox logo morphs into Frightbox at the end of each title.
Lightbox's Existing Slate
Lightbox's credits include Apple TV's Twisted Yoga and Hurricane Katrina: Race Against Time, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, for Nat Geo. Simon Chinn said Lightbox felt the market downturn in 2024 and had to regroup.
