Lightdox has acquired world sales rights to the documentary My Home of Wind and Sand, which will have its world premiere at the Zurich Film Festival. The film was directed by Patrick Wally, who spent over a decade making it.
My Home of Wind and Sand portrays Najla Mohamed Lamin, a women's rights, human rights and climate activist born in a Sahrawi refugee camp in Algeria. Greta Thunberg is expected to attend the world premiere and take part in a conversation with Lamin afterward.
The documentary is produced by Shirin Hooshmandi, Najla Mohamed Lamin and Patrick Wally. Anna Kirst edited the film with additional editing by Daniel Rutz, and the music is by Ahmed Zain.
Public screenings of the film are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at the Zurich Film Festival, as reported by Deadline.
