The Love Hypothesis Hits No. 2 on Prime Video's U.S. Top 10

The Love Hypothesis has climbed to number two on Prime Video's overall Top 10 chart in the United States, as of September 29, 2026. The adaptation has spent five days on the overall chart.

It trails only Neagley, which has held the top overall position for 12 consecutive days. In Prime Video's Top 10 Movies chart, The Love Hypothesis claims the number one spot, leading You+Me – Against the World and The Passenger.

The film adapts Ali Hazelwood's 2021 bestselling romance novel of the same name. Hazelwood originally published the story online in 2018 as Head Over Feet, a Star Wars fan fiction work, and the novel became a New York Times bestseller after its physical publication.

Principal photography for the adaptation took place in Montreal, Canada, during July and August 2025. The film premiered on Prime Video on September 23, 2026.

It currently holds a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 51 critics' reviews, while Metacritic assigned the film a score of 59 out of 100 based on seven critics. The film comes from Amazon MGM Studios and MRC, as reported by comingsoon.net.
