Manchester Animation Festival Names 7 Projects for Animation Featured Lab

Manchester Animation Festival has announced the seven projects selected for the inaugural edition of Animation Featured, a seven-month development program for UK-produced animated features, according to cartoonbrew.com.

The selected projects are Check Out, Journey to Pop Cloud Island, Sgà and the Wulver, 24 & 45, Made of Sticks, Karaoke Club and The Bear and the Piano.

The program is supported by the BFI National Lottery Creative Challenge Fund, Screen Scotland and Northern Ireland Screen. Its inaugural edition attracted 98 applications from across the UK.

Mentors for the program include producers Ruth Fielding, Richard Beek and Claire Jennings. The selected teams will spend seven months developing their projects.
