Judge Orders Ovitz to Finish Deposition by Dec. 18 in Ormond Suit

Judge Adam Silvera denied requests for an arrest warrant and a contempt finding against the CAA co-founder in Julia Ormond's sexual assault lawsuit.

A judge has ordered Michael Ovitz to complete his deposition by Dec. 18 in Julia Ormond's sexual assault lawsuit against CAA, according to Variety. Judge Adam Silvera denied requests for an arrest warrant and a contempt finding against the CAA co-founder.

The judge also refused to rule out further questions about Jeffrey Epstein during the deposition. Ormond's lawyers said the ruling requires Ovitz to return and answer all of their questions.

At a deposition on June 1, Ovitz stormed out after being asked whether he was friendly with Epstein.

Ormond is suing CAA for arranging a meeting for her with Harvey Weinstein in December 1995, after which Weinstein allegedly sexually assaulted her. Emails between Ovitz and Epstein were disclosed earlier this year as part of the Epstein files.
