Neal McDonough Open to Returning to Taylor Sheridan's TV Universe
The actor, whose Tulsa King character Cal Thresher was presumed killed in a plane crash, says he would come back as Yellowstone's Malcolm Beck "in a heartbeat."
Neal McDonough said he is interested in returning to Taylor Sheridan's television universe, telling MovieWeb in an interview that he would reprise his Yellowstone role as Malcolm Beck "in a heartbeat." The actor's most recent Sheridan character, Cal Thresher, was presumed killed in an off-screen plane crash in the Tulsa King Season 4 premiere, titled "W.W.D.D."
McDonough said he would want to act opposite Cole Hauser, and that appearing in Landman, Mayor of Kingstown or Lioness would be up to Sheridan himself. He added that he is open to it.
"I know my relationship with the Sheridan universe is not over," McDonough told the outlet, saying that something else is being worked on.
McDonough first entered the Sheridan universe in Yellowstone Season 2 as Malcolm Beck; in the show's story, his character was eventually hunted down and shot. Cal Thresher was introduced in Tulsa King Season 2 as a roadblock to Dwight Manfredi's cannabis operation.
Tulsa King premiered on Paramount+ on November 13, 2022.
