Neeraj Churi Joins 'About an Intimate Matter' Ahead of Busan Premiere

Neeraj Churi has joined the Bengali-language drama About an Intimate Matter as a producer, according to Variety. The film is set to have its world premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, where it will screen in the A Window on Asian Cinema section.
Sandeep Kumar Paul wrote and directed the film, marking his first feature. Sreya Bhattacharya, Shimlli Basu and Sanjita Das lead the cast.
About an Intimate Matter is the first Bengali-language production from Awedacious Originals, the company behind titles including The Hunt for Veerappan for Netflix, Womb for Prime Video and The Glassworker, which premiered at Annecy in 2024.
Churi previously produced Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears), which won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
Paul's project traces back to 2016 and 2017, when he shot Pride walks and other gatherings in Kolkata.
