Netflix Drops Allen Trailer Ahead of November 12 Premiere
The sci-fi film from Bluey producer Ludo Studio follows adult Petey as he tries to bring the alien Allen back to Earth.
Netflix has released the trailer for its sci-fi movie Allen, ahead of the film's premiere on the streaming service on November 12. The trailer shows an adult Petey attempting to signal Allen to return to Earth.
In the footage, Allen comes back in a glowing spaceship but appears to be carrying a dangerous secret. T.J. Power plays Petey, with Charlotte Nicdao as Carly and Emily Barclay as Sarah rounding out the cast.
Allen is produced by the Australian company Ludo Studio, the studio behind Bluey, and is set in Queensland, Australia. Jeffrey Walker and Daley Pearson co-directed the film, and Pearson wrote the screenplay with Sophie Miller.
Alien territory already covered
The premise places Allen in the company of earlier Earth-set alien stories. Steven Spielberg never made a sequel to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, while Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's alien comedy Paul was released in 2011, according to screenrant.com.
