Netflix Lands Disney Deal for Percy Jackson, Tracker, Army Wives
Netflix and Disney signed a licensing deal bringing Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Tracker, and all seven seasons of Army Wives to the streamer.
Netflix and Disney have signed a new content licensing agreement that will bring a mix of Disney+ originals and network series to the streaming service, according to Collider.
Under the deal, Disney+ originals including Percy Jackson and the Olympians Seasons 1 and 2 will land on Netflix. The CBS series Tracker is also set to join the platform.
The agreement extends to library titles as well: all seven seasons of Army Wives will become available on Netflix. The drama aired for seven seasons from 2007 to 2013 on Lifetime, where it scored the largest premiere in the network's history.
The arrangement pairs Netflix's global reach — the service counts over 325 million customers worldwide — with Disney-owned titles that have already built audiences elsewhere.
