The move marks a shift for the project, which Netflix originally acquired in 2021. That deal covered Jason Pagan and Andrew Deutschman's genre script, based on Ian Rogers' short story "The House on Ashley Avenue."
Schindler and Netto have an established track record with Netflix. They directed the 2024 thriller Don't Move, which topped Netflix's global film chart for its first two weeks. The pair are currently in post-production on Nightwatching, a survival thriller starring Mila Kunis and Corey Hawkins.
