Netflix Has No Regrets Over Failed Warner Bros. Discovery Bid, Bajaria Says

Netflix content chief Bela Bajaria told MIPCOM the streamer stayed disciplined on price and will keep expanding its investment.

Netflix content chief Bela Bajaria said the streamer has no regrets about its failed attempt to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, speaking at MIPCOM according to deadline.com.

Bajaria said Warner Bros. Discovery was always "a nice to have at a certain price, not a must have at any price." She said Netflix remains financially disciplined and will keep its current investment level.

She also said Netflix accounts for around 5% of global TV viewing time, and that the Canadian original Below is currently number one in more than 80 countries, including France.

Bajaria added that Netflix will continue to expand its investment even as competitors scale back. Netflix previously made an eventually failed $83B bid to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, and Warner Bros. Discovery was sold to David Ellison's Paramount-Skydance for $110B, creating Skydance.

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos previously said Warner Bros. Discovery was a nice to have at a certain price, not a must have at any price.
