Regal, Mocha Chai Team on 'One For The Road'
Regal Entertainment and Singapore's Mocha Chai Laboratories are co-producing Kip Oebanda's coming-of-age drama, now shooting in the Philippines.
Regal Entertainment and Singapore's Mocha Chai Laboratories have announced a co-production on the coming-of-age drama One For The Road, directed by Kip Oebanda. The film is currently in principal photography in the Philippines, according to Deadline.
The cast is headed by Elijah Canlas, Gian Bernardino, Emilio Daez and JM Ibarra as four high school best friends. Nour Hooshmand, Sofia Trazona and Mika Reins also join the cast.
One For The Road is written by Oebanda and Victor Villanueva. Regal Entertainment producer Keith Monteverde is teaming with Mocha Chai Laboratories on the project, which is set to shoot entirely in the Philippines with a predominantly Filipino cast and crew. Mocha Chai Laboratories will lead sound design.
Selected for co-production fund
The film has been selected for the Film Development Council of the Philippines' International Co-Production Fund. It is slated for release in the second quarter of 2027.
Oebanda previously directed Bar Boys and Bar Boys: After School. Villanueva wrote Patay na si Hesus. Mocha Chai Laboratories' recent Singapore-Thailand co-production Decalcomania was nominated for Best Sound Design at the 2026 ContentAsia Awards.
